Giant Tic Tac Toe
In the latest 72-hour competition, we really went all out with this giant Tic-Tack-Toe game with LEDs galore! With the CNC machine finished, we really wanted to test our capabilities in a short time frame making a further detailed and elaborate interactive game. At its most basic it’s a very bright version of the simple two-player game.
The project is our qualifying entry for this year’s Red Bull Creation Contest. A special Arduino shield was produced this year, the Turbull Encabulator, this time it features hardware on-board to control of LEDs… a lot of them. We decided to max it out. That led to our creation of this box, which houses a ton of strip sections inside to light the grid based on tapping one of the red buttons with your foot. In the end, we were able to display this at the local Children’s Museum or Portsmouth, VA for all to enjoy!
